For English-speaking hams — TGIF's tactical and worldwide talkgroups, plus the linked systems worth having.

What this is. A hand-sorted list of talkgroups on the TGIF Network — the friendly, newcomer-leaning DMR network known for how easy it is to spin up a talkgroup and for its lively web of linked systems. TGIF has its own numbering, separate from BrandMeister, and its own culture: less big-iron nationwide traffic, more community nets and bridged reflectors. This list trims it to what an English-speaking ham will actually use — the tactical channels, the worldwide talkgroups, and a curated pick of the most active linked systems — instead of scrolling the whole network to find them.

How to use it. Same idea as the BrandMeister list: it's a starting point, not the finish line. TGIF lives on a hotspot — point your WPSD or OpenSpot at the TGIF network, then load the talkgroups you want; a downloadable version you can import is coming so you don't type them in. New here? Key up Parrot (9990) first — on TGIF that's a Group Call — say your callsign, and it plays your voice back so you know your setup works. Then drop into a worldwide talkgroup or one of the linked systems for a listen. Add more anytime; you never have to wade through the whole network to find the few talkgroups you'll actually key up.

About TGIF. The TGIF Network is the easygoing side of DMR — informal, community-run, and free-form, built around letting operators create and manage their own talkgroups with very little red tape. The important thing to know is that TGIF allows talkgroups to link out to other digital voice systems — including other DMR networks and the multimode systems that tie DMR together with D-STAR, YSF, and more.
