SVXLink is an open-source, primarily analog voice-over-IP system for amateur radio. The SvxReflector network connects SVXLink nodes together using numbered talkgroups — similar to conference rooms. The system supports bridging to digital voice networks while maintaining multi-talkgroup analog access.
The North America SvxReflector is linked as a family to the UK Wide and Australia reflectors, forming a worldwide analog voice network.
N6JET is establishing two identities on the North America SvxReflector:
| Identity | Purpose |
|---|---|
| N6JET | Main SVXLink node — multi-talkgroup analog access to the NA reflector |
| N6JET-BRIDGE | Dedicated bridge connecting the SvxReflector to M17-JET Module S |
The bridge will use SvxLink-USRP and USRP2M17 to carry audio between the SvxReflector and M17-JET. M17 uses the open-source Codec2 vocoder, so no proprietary hardware or licensing is required for the bridge.
SVXLink NA Reflector ↔ N6JET-BRIDGE ↔ SvxLink-USRP ↔ USRP2M17 ↔ M17-JET Module S
Under development. Setup is being coordinated with Chris G4NAB, who manages the North America SvxReflector.
